The awards seek to acknowledge local businesses. Winners are a true reflection of quality and customer service as they are chosen by members of the general public.
The Welsh Independent Retail Awards highlight the value of independent retailers to the communities they operate in, and try to recognise and reward the entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen which lies behind the thriving industry, which has been contributing greatly to the economic growth of the country.
The glamorous event was hosted by Capital FM presenters, Polly James and Matt Lissack.
Irfan Younis, CEO of organizers Creative Oceanic, said: “We were delighted to see so many people attending the inaugural Welsh Independent Retail Awards. It has been a fantastic evening and we are humbled and honoured by the positive response we have received. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners.”
As well as supporting independent retailers, the awards also raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
'Bespoke Retailer of the Year' was won by 'The Little Welsh Dresser' in Llandeilo.
