'Full Moon' Lino Art Print
‘Full Moon’ is inspired by the artist seeing many beautiful isolated cottages around Pembrokeshire and wondering what it would be like to live in one of them.
To create a print, Suzanne works first on the design using photographs and sketches. Then she transfers her design directly onto a block of lino, and hand carve the image using lino tools. Next, using a roller, she applies ink to the lino. Finally, she carefully lays paper over the lino and prints by hand, using the back of a spoon or a small baren. This is repeated at least 25 times to produce an open or limited edition of the image and then each print is hand-signed.
Each of the prints in the edition is an original work of art, not a reproduction. The nature of the hand-made process means that there will be minor variations between prints.
